Week 34 Update


TL;DR

Build & Deployment:

Development:


  • I competed a system for generating & placing rooms within a spaceship hull. Special thanks to Adrian Moore (stewster on GitHub) for making source for his Shipwright and Rogue-like utils projects available! I have some bugs to work out with carving hallways, but the bulk of the room generation & placement is done.
  • I created a simple functional interface based on Java's basic BiPredicate to handle primitive ints, and I used it to create some really cool flood fill options when generating spaceship layouts. I generalized the tools to use with libGDX tiled maps, so I should be able to use the same when I create the dungeon generator and more! Good times!

Design:

  • More work on the law systems.
  • More work on Souls: notably Relationships and Skills.

Influence:

I spent a lot of time reading TTRPGs over the last week. I also watched some really interesting analysis videos on some recent horror games.

Marketing:

  • Met with Hazel, who is going to assist me with marketing the Kickstarter come October & November. Watch this space ~
